At Work
Hello, hello! I’m “at work”, but that is not unusual. Below is a list of the more common work areas that I help organizations on. Reach out if you would like to know more.
Speaking
I love speaking in front of audiences large and small. Potential topics cover a lot of ground. Some of the popular topics I have spoken on have included:
- How to become a Facebook Master
- Why your website sucks and what to do about it
- Balancing technology and life
- Leveraging LinkedIn
- How not to lose your shirt in Google Ads
- Boosting online productivity
Consulting
Do you know something is off in your online presence, but need a professional partner to find out exactly what that is and how to fix it? I will consult with you to get to the bottom of things. Typically, we first have a scoping meeting. I share good information and prepared ideas, even if that is the last meeting that we have. Most clients push on, creating a plan and scope of work that will determine what is wrong and available fixes. We will map out what the real organizational goals are and how your presence online can help you achieve them.
Training
It’s time to go back to school, in a way! Does your team struggle with your web presence and/or social media? Or does it just not understand the value of online marketing and tools? Or perhaps it’s just a function of very limited time in the day? Bring me in and let’s change that. This is more than a pep talk. There are loads of technology speakers (and I’m one of them!), but where I stand out is my emphasis on people, which are often missing from the equation. I will cover real-world actions that your team and staff can take to substantially raise your online game.
Marketing
Help in speaking, consulting and training are all well in good, but sometimes you just do not have the time or desire to work in online marketing. That’s fine! I will shift over and become a working extension of your team. Think of me as your new Online Comptroller General (must get that title on a business card…). I will coordinate your online presence in communication with you and your staff. This works especially well when you do not want to dedicate an internal staff member to online marketing. Website design (or redesign!), maintenance and security…done! Social media marketing, content creation and monitoring…done! Higher and better search engine rankings…done!
